The Diani Beach Extension is the classic close to a Kenyan safari: three days on the Indian Ocean coast, swapping dust and game drives for white sand and warm water. Diani's reef-protected shoreline is lined with palms and calm enough for swimming most of the year, with time built in for an optional dhow sail or snorkeling trip over the reef.
It's designed as an add-on after any Mara, Amboseli, or Samburu itinerary, though it also works as a standalone coastal break.
- Day 1: Fly from Nairobi or your safari lodge to Ukunda, with a private transfer to your Diani beachfront hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
- Day 2: Full day at the coast — swim, relax, or join an optional dhow sailing and snorkeling trip over the reef.
- Day 3: Final morning at the beach, then transfer to Ukunda for your flight back to Nairobi or onward.
